Privacy Policy
Jagged Realms. Last updated 8 October 2026.
Jagged Realms makes the video game Beckon. This policy explains what personal data we collect in Beckon and in Jagged Realms Social, the internal tool our team uses to post our own videos to our own social media accounts, including YouTube. We are based in the United Kingdom and follow the UK GDPR.
1. Beckon (the game)
- We ask first. Beckon only collects data if you say yes when it asks. You can change your answer at any time in Settings > General > Privacy. If you say no, nothing is sent.
- What we collect: how the game runs and is played: the game version, your platform and operating system, your hardware (processor, graphics card, memory, screen), your game settings, frame rate and load times, errors, how deep you get, what kills you, and how long you play. When the game hits an error or crashes, the report includes the game's last log lines, with names, Steam IDs, IP and email addresses and your computer's user name taken out first.
- What we do not collect: your name, your Steam ID, your email address or your IP address. You are identified only by a random ID that the game makes when you say yes. It says nothing about who you are.
- Why: to find bugs and make the game run and play better. Our legal basis is your consent.
- Where it goes: to PostHog, an analytics service, on its EU servers. IP addresses are discarded.
- How long we keep it: up to 12 months.
- Deleting it: send us the ID in the file
telemetry_id.txtin Beckon's save folder, and we will delete everything recorded under it within 30 days.
2. Jagged Realms Social and YouTube
Jagged Realms Social is not a public service. Only the Jagged Realms team uses it, to upload and schedule videos on Jagged Realms' own YouTube channel and other social media accounts.
- YouTube API Services. Jagged Realms Social uses YouTube API Services. By using it, you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. The Google Privacy Policy also applies.
- What it accesses: when a team member signs in with Google, the tool gets permission to manage the Jagged Realms YouTube channel. It uses this to upload videos, set their titles, descriptions, tags and publish times, to set the channel's description, and to read the view, like and comment counts of the channel's own videos and the comments left on them (shown to the team so they can reply on YouTube).
- What it stores: the sign-in token, encrypted, in our private code repository's encrypted secrets; and a record of each post (its title, caption, links, publish time and counts) in our private repository. It collects no data about other YouTube users or viewers.
- Sharing: we do not sell or share this data. It is processed only by GitHub, which runs the scheduler, and by our own server in the UK.
- Removing access: access can be removed at any time on the Google security settings page. When it is removed, or on request, we delete the stored token and data within 7 days.
- Cookies: the tool's own page sets one cookie, to keep a team member signed in. There are no tracking or advertising cookies.
- Limited Use: Jagged Realms Social's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
3. Jagged Realms Social and TikTok
- What it accesses: when a team member connects the Jagged Realms TikTok account (Login Kit), the tool reads the account's basic information (its display name and avatar) to confirm the right account is connected. With the account's permission it uploads our own scheduled videos to that account's TikTok inbox as drafts (Content Posting API, Upload). A team member then reviews each draft and publishes it in the TikTok app; the tool never publishes on TikTok by itself.
- What it stores: the access and refresh tokens, encrypted, in our private code repository's encrypted secrets. It collects no data about other TikTok users or viewers.
- Sharing: we do not sell or share this data. It is processed only by GitHub, which runs the scheduler, and by our own server in the UK.
- Removing access: access can be removed at any time in the TikTok app (Settings and privacy > Security > Manage app permissions). When it is removed, or on request, we delete the stored tokens within 7 days. The TikTok Terms of Service and TikTok Privacy Policy also apply.
4. Your rights
